Upcoming UCR Orange Blossom Ball Competition
The Orange Blossom Ball will be April 14, 2007 in the UCR Student Recreation Center Gym. Deadline for registration is 03/26/2007. We are also looking for volunteers for the competition--please let us know if you can help! For more information, see the OBB website:

More time changes for Kipp's class!
Unfortunately, we were unable to continue reserving MPR A, so Kipp's Tuesday class will once again be in MPR B. The classes will be at the following times for the remainder of the quarter:
11/14/2006: 9:30 to 11:30 pm
11/21/2006: 9:30 to 11:30 pm
11/28/2006: 9:15-11:15 pm |

Caltech competition registration is open!
If you plan to compete, please see more information and register ASAP at:
http://ballroom.caltech.edu/comp/
You will be able to log in and change your dances/partners after you register. Shasha will be collecting team entry fees and Shasha and Fook will be helping with partnerships and registration. If you need help with partnering, registering, or preparing, please contact us.
Deadline: All Dancesport-UCR team members wishing to compete should submit their entry fees to Shasha by December 5th, the last day of Kipp's class. |

Please note that the Tuesday class will now be from 9:30-11:30PM so that we can use MPR A (the big room). Please try to come on time so that class can start promptly! |

| Any Club member can join the competition team! There's no extra requirement to be on the team, except your enthusiasm to improve your dancing skill. Just let the Club officers know that you are interested in joining the competition team anytime. |

| Congratulations to Dancesport at UCR for winning the $100 prize for "Most Interactive Booth" at last night's Block Party! Flashy decorations, animated dancing, and bold recruiting also earned Dancesport over 100 new signups! |

| We will be holding a free Intro/Demo class on 10/3 to demo all of the dances that will be taught fall quarter and give mini-lessons in as many dances as we can cover before time runs out! See events for more information. |

| Congratulations to Fook Tham and Virginia Barbour, who competed at Nationals 8/11-8/13 in San Jose! They placed 2nd in Senior 1 Novice Standard (W/F/QS) and 4th in Senior 1 Gold Standard (W/T/F/QS). |
